I had an amazing conversation with an acquaintence this morning. We both reside in the 26th legislative district, they live on the Pierce side, and well, I’m on the Kitsap side.
I caught up with them, because their current project sorta mirrored mine. I learned about their other projects as well. I was surprised to find out that they were with the Cascade Party. You’ll remember that this is the party with Krist Novoselic as chair. I’ve had conversations with Krist previously. I can’t say I totally agree with him, but he does bring up some very interesting thoughts. Find all that here.
Since leaving my previous position, I’ve really enjoyed attending other party events to see how they do things. So far, I’ve attended a West Sound DSA meeting, a Republican campaign kickoff-and I hope to attend the Kitsap Libertarian Party meeting next month. It’s nice to pick and choose what I attend. It’s even nicer that I’m not in charge of the event.
I had this epiphany of sorts later in the day. I’ve been admittedly trying to figure out where my place is and I’ve not found a solid spot yet. A light switched on in my head. AHA! I attend political events, and I write my review of them. I attend events so that I can tell you all about them.
Sounds great, I think I’ll give it a shot.
